E-mail setup MS Outlook
Get email address information
If you have not yet set up an email address, first carry out the step » Create email address the end.
The email data (POP3, IMAP, SMTP) can be found in the edit mode of your homepage under E-mail ▶ Email address management .
Click next to the desired email address access data .
All data must be entered exactly as specified in your access data. A distinction is made between upper and lower case!
Set up Outlook
Start Outlook and click file .
click on Add account .
Fill in the "Email address" field with the data from your access data 1
click on I want to set up my account manually and then up Connect .
click on IMAP .
Acknowledge the SSL warning for incoming mail with YES .
Acknowledge the SSL warning for outgoing mail with YES .
Fill in the "Password" field with the data from your access data 3
click on Connect .
click on process completed .
✓ Setup is complete!
Test the settings and send an e-mail to your own e-mail address, check the e-mail inbox.
If problems occur, check the other settings as described below
Check root folder (Outlook does not find incoming emails)
Start Outlook and click file . Select the appropriate email address from the selection and click on Account Settings ▶ Account name and synchronization settings.
In the Root Folder Path field, type INBOX (Please write everything in capital letters!) and click on further .
Check inbox settings
Start Outlook and click file ▶ Account Settings ▶ Account Settings
Select the email account and click Repair .
click on I want to manually repair my account and Repair .
Check incoming mail settings
Check that SSL/TLS is active.
Under server port must the 993 to stand.
Check outgoing mail settings
Check that SSL/TLS is active.
Under server port must the 465 to stand.
The option SMTP requires authentication must be active.
Test the settings and send an e-mail to your own e-mail address, check the e-mail inbox.
